Thomas Langlois is a Belgian lutenist, born in Ghent. He studied renaissance lute and theorbo at the Royal Conservatory there with Wim Maeseele. He also studied music theory with Marc Masson.<\/p>\n

From 2023 to 2025, Thomas completed his studies at the prestigious Schola Cantorum Baseliensis in Switzerland. There, he studied baroque lute and baroque guitar with Peter Croton, and basso continuou with Julian Behr.<\/p>\n
At the end of his journey at Basel, he received the “Walter und Corina Christen-Marchal-Stiftung”-price for his final recital. This means the recital was labeled as the best one of that year.<\/p>\n

Thomas has played in various professional ensembles and orchestras, including Bach+<\/span><\/a><\/span>, Musica Gloria<\/a><\/span>, Deschonecompanie<\/a><\/span><\/span>, Il Gardellino<\/a><\/span>, Les Go\u00fbts Authentiques<\/a><\/span><\/span>, Ex Tempore<\/a><\/span><\/span>, Ensemble Delta<\/a><\/span><\/span>…<\/p>\n As a soloist, he has already given several recitals at home and abroad. He has played for the English Lute Society<\/a><\/span> in London and for the Deutsche Lautengesellschaft<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n In 2023, Thomas was selected as one of the ten Twintigers<\/a><\/span><\/span> by KLARA.
